Legislature's
inaction leaves
Shelton "stupified"
By Becky Pallack.
[Memo from
Robert N.
Shelton]. Days
before
Christmas, we
were informed by
the Governor’s
office that the
state would not
be making its
December general
fund
appropriation to
the three ABOR
universities. In
our case, that
amounts to about
$30 million. We
were told that
cash-flow
difficulties
made the payment
impossible, but
that it would be
forwarded to us
as soon as
possible, but at
this time, the
exact date is
uncertain.
