New data to track high school graduates

The Arizona Board of Regents, which governs public colleges and universities, and the Arizona Department of Education, which oversees the K-12 public school systems, finalized an agreement Jan. 28 with the National Student Clearinghouse. The nonprofit organization tracks student degrees and enrollment verification, according to its Web site.

UA medical school plans Phoenix lab

Arizona space experts respond
By Tom Beal. Arizona's planetary scientists aren't at all surprised that the Obama administration has canceled the rocketry program designed to carry humans back to the moon by 2020. Kip Hodges, director of the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University, said that while the NASA rocket program has been canceled, space exploration has not.

To combat piracy, UCLA reaches for the Clicker
