The Arizona Board of Regents held a special meeting by conference call at the Arizona Board of Regents Central Office, 2020 N. Central, Suite 230, on July 2, 2007, at 1:50 p.m.

Also attending were Christine Wilkinson from Arizona State
University; Edie Auslander, Joel Valdez, Greg Fahey, Jacqueline Mok, Charles
Ingram, Jim Florian, Bob Smith, David Duffy, Judith Leonard, David Nix, Duc Ma
and Bob Smith from the University of Arizona; Executive Director Joel Sideman,
Board Counsel Nancy Tribbensee, Stephanie Jacobson, Sandra Woodley, Lorenzo
Martinez and Betty McNulty from the Central Office.
Regent Boice called the meeting to order at 1:50 p.m.
Regent Boice stated that the meeting had been called to consider the University
of Arizona’s requests for FY 2008 Capital Development Plan Amendment, Combined
Project Implementation Approval and Project Approval for Deferred Renovation,
Building Renewal and Infrastructure Project Plan and Sale of $10 million in
System Revenue Bonds for the Deferred Renovation, Building Renewal and
Infrastructure Project Plan. These items had been approved by the Capital
Committee at the meeting just prior to this meeting.
FY 2008 Capital Development Plan Amendment to Add the Deferred Renovation,
Building Renewal and Infrastructure Project Plan (UA)
Upon motion by Regent Calderón, seconded by Regent DeConcini, the Board
unanimously approved the UA FY 2008 Capital Development Plan Amendment as
presented in the Executive Summary.
Combined Project Implementation Approval and Project Approval for Deferred
Renovation, Building Renewal and Infrastructure Project Plan (UA)
Upon motion by Regent Calderón, seconded by Regent Boice, the Board unanimously
approved the UA’s request for Combined Project Implementation Approval and
Project Approval for the Deferred Renovation, Building Renewal and
Infrastructure Project Plan.
Sale of $10 Million in System Revenue Bonds for the Deferred Renovation,
Building Renewal and Infrastructure Project Plan (UA)
Upon motion by Regent Calderón, seconded by Regent DeConcini, the Board approved
the UA’s request for authorization to sell system revenue bonds not to exceed
$10 million for the Deferred Renovation, Building Renewal and Infrastructure
Project Plan as presented in the Executive Summary.
The meeting adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
