Kay McKay, Executive Director, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northern Arizona |
A committee representing a cross-section of university and community interests has been named to aid in the selection of the next president of Northern Arizona University.
Don Ulrich, president of the Arizona Board of Regents, today announced the membership of the search committee. He has appointed Kay McKay, president-elect of the Board and a resident of Flagstaff, to chair the committee. A list of committee members with a short bio on each is attached.
"We are pleased to have identified a group of people, from a broad university and community base, who are interested and willing to help select a president to lead NAU into the future," Ulrich said.
"I am eager to begin the search process and look forward to working with this outstanding group of people," said Kay McKay. She indicated that the first meeting of the search committee has tentatively been scheduled for January 10, 2001, at 1:30 p.m. on the NAU campus.
Last month NAU President Clara Lovett announced that she would not serve beyond her current contract, which expires June 30, 2001.
