The Arizona Board of Regents is pleased to announce the third annual round of funding through the Arizona Regents Reach Out (ARRO) grant program.
The focus of the ARRO program is to support the development of innovative university-based distance-learning projects, with an emphasis on those that are collaborative; that support workforce development; and that are transferable, portable, shareable, and scalable.
For the 2008 ARRO grant round, the Regents Technology Oversight Committee especially encourages projects that support the Governor’s P-20 Council interest in increasing production of K-12 teachers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, and ensuring effective preparation and certification of these teachers.
2008 ARRO grants will provide awards of up to $50,000 for single-university projects and up to $100,000 for collaborative multi-university projects.
Proposals are due October 15, 2007. Project funding begins January 1, 2008, and ends June 30, 2009. Click here for a downloaded Request for Proposals (RFP), including complete guidelines and application materials. Or contact the ARRO Grants Program Manager at 602-229-2560, or maryn.boess@azregents.edu.
