Student Regent Jared Gorshe was appointed to the Arizona Board of Regents by Gov. Doug Ducey and began his term July 1, 2015. He is a member of the Academic and Student Affairs Committee, the Legislative Affairs Committee and the Executive Committee. Regent Gorshe graduated with two undergraduate degrees - political science and criminal justice - in May from Northern Arizona University. He is currently enrolled in the master of public administration program at Northern Arizona University.

While an undergraduate, he served the chief of staff for the Associated Students of NAU. Additionally, Regent Gorshe was elected to the student senate and was hired as the senate parliamentarian. He served as the chairman of the Arizona Federation of College Republicans and was an intern for United States Senator Jeff Flake and United States Congressman Paul Gosar. Regent Gorshe is an Arizona native and youngest of six children.
