Arizona Board of Regents elects officers for 2026-27

Today, the Arizona Board of Regents approved board officers for 2026-27 during its meeting at the University of Arizona. 

Regent Doug Goodyear will continue to serve as chair of the board, with Regent Jessica Pacheco continuing as chair elect. Regent Gregg Brewster will remain secretary of the board and Regent Cecilia Mata will continue as treasurer. 

Student Regent Felipe Garcia will assume the role of assistant treasurer, taking the place of Student Regent Jadyn Fisher as her term concludes on June 30th. Officers will take their roles on July 1, 2026.

“The board has strong leadership in place, and I appreciate my colleagues’ continued willingness to serve,” said Chair Goodyear. “That continuity allows us to stay focused on the work ahead for Arizona’s public universities.”
