Statement from ABOR Chair on the passing of former Regent Fred T. Boice

Below is a statement from Arizona Board of Regents Chair Doug Goodyear on the passing of former Regent Fred T. Boice.

"The Arizona Board of Regents mourns the passing of former Regent Fred T. Boice. Appointed to the board in 2002 by former Gov. Jane Hull, Boice was a steadfast champion of higher education. He helped expand lower-cost pathways to bachelor's degrees and was the first regent to serve two consecutive terms as board president. A proud Tucsonan, Boice served Arizona as a consummate public servant with civility, integrity and honor. Our hearts are with his wife Ann and the rest of his family."
