Student Regent David Zaragoza was appointed to the Arizona Board of Regents by Gov. Katie Hobbs on May 5, 2023. He serves as assistant treasurer of the board and is a member of the University Governance and Operations Committee.

Regent Zaragoza is seeking a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Arizona State University and is enrolled in Barrett, the Honors College. A researcher at ASU’s Luminosity Lab, he worked on projects as diverse as systems engineering, embedded systems and web development.
